Anietie Antia-Obong’s entertainment career began in her backyard when at the age of twelve she produced and directed the neighborhood’s first talent show. Over the years, her productions have become more sophisticated and the budgets have increased, but one thing has remained the same...Anietie is still firmly committed to artistic excellence in every creative endeavor.
Anietie’s enjoyed working in multiple facets of entertainment – television, film and theatre. Most recently, she wrote, produced and directed the short film “Priyanath” which is inspired by a story found in the spiritual classic "Autobiography of a Yogi" written by Paramahansa Yogananda. Her other work includes the "Straight Trippin’' travel series (executive producer/director), cable network shows "Natural Companions" (producer/editor) and "Simply Beautiful" (producer/writer), the PBS-aired documentary "The World of Nat King Cole" (producer) and the documentary "Queen Mother" (producer/director/writer).
Anietie is currently working on, "The Marriage Squeeze," a feature length, documentary film which follows three, chronically-single ladies looking for love and marriage in the 21st century.
