.357 Lover (NYC)
Featuring CORN MO!!!!
.357 Lover is a Brooklyn-based band whose songs are inspired by grandiosity of arena rock, the lure of time travel, the technicolor haze of childhood, Victorian steampunk science, the beauty of women and the lust for immortality.
.357 Lover have supported They Might Be Giants and Ben Folds, introducing their fantastical style of neo-arena rock to new fans young and old. They've also backed up John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and Andrew WK, and even wrote and performed Alice Wakeman: A Rock Opera, at the Ars Nova Theater in NYC. In 2010, the band’s video for the song "Event Horizon" was featured as a Top 10 selection on Attack of the Show. The resulting viral onslaught devastated YouTube (it’s still sore) and won admirers from the farthest corners of the globe.
.357 Lover have released an EP, Your Favorite Hamburger is a Cheeseburger (2008), and a full-length album, Diorama of the Golden Lion (2009). Their latest endeavor, The Purchase of the North Pole, will be released in autumn 2010.
