Join us in celebrating 30 years of Arbor Day and Tree City USA in Plano! This year, Plano has been selected to host the State of Texas Arbor Day commemorating our 30th year as a Tree City USA. We will be honoring Tom Muehlenbeck for bringing Tree City USA to Plano and our keynote speaker, Jan Davis, USDA Forest Service National Urban & Community Forestry program leader, will be inspiring us on how trees improve our day-to-day lives; healthy trees means a healthy city.
RSVP your child(ren) to attend the ceremony and educational fair on Friday, November 1st, 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at Bob Woodruff Park North, 2601 San Gabriel Dr. The local community and media is invited to attend this free event. After the ceremony all children who RSVP'd will be given a free lunch, Arbor Day t-shirt, drawstring bag, and will be invited to take part in the 7 hands on educational booths stationed throughout Bob Woodruff Park! (Limited space available).

Come out to Oak Point Park, 2801 E Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, TX 75074 the following Saturday, November 2nd to attend Plano Tree Fest, a free eco-freindly festival! This family friendly event will include eco-friendly market vendors, food vendors serving earth and health conscious snacks and food, and a kids zone with hands on education stations, a rock climbing wall, bounce houses, and more! Come learn about Plano’s green initiatives and what you can do to help keep Plano beautiful! Dogs on a leash are allowed.
