Michael Martin Murphey

Michael Martin Murphey (born March 14, 1945) is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter, musician, and1970s "progressive country" pioneer known for hits like "Wildfire," "Carolina In The Pines," and "What's Forever For". 

A Texas Native, he has released 35 albums, blending country, folk, rock, and Western music while heavily promoting the American cowboy lifestyle and heritage.
