FREDDIE STEADY KRC / CHRIS GANTRY / AL STAEHELY (SONG SWAP)

Freddie Steady Krc returns to The Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe with a couple of friends joining him for a south coast song swap. Those friends happen to be fabulous singer/songwriter/entertainers. Al Staehely is best known for his work with the legendary rock band called Spirit. His songs have been recorded by Keith Moon of The Who, Bobbie Gentry, Marty Balin of The Jefferson Airplane/Starship and others. Nashville-based Chris Gantry is in a class all his own. A masterful songwriter, his songs have been recorded by Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash, Reba McEntire and many others. Texas Music Hall of Famer Freddie Steady Krc has had his songs recorded by Smart Patrol from Berlin, California punk rockers The Retardos, Berlin-based Zydeco Alligators along with others and enjoyed a couple of co-written songs with Jerry Jeff Walker recorded by JJW. 

 

The last time they "ganged up" for a song swap was by Chris' invitation. Al, Chris, Don Henry and Freddie played a sold out "in the round" show at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. Expect songs, stories and a big time for all.
