El DORADO - The Golden One presented by Kathak Rhythms and Renu Forum for the Arts

Mesmerizing Kathak in a Contemporary, New York Broadway-Style Ballet. The 90 minute dance-ballet is about Mukta - a beautiful girl who goes in search of happiness upon the last message of her departed mother. Her breathtaking voyage, filled with ups and downs is depicted through beautiful Hindustani music fusions, intricate solo and group dance sequences, original paintings, poetry, and lighting theatrics. El Dorado is a metaphor of life with all its mystique and enigma. The ballet, a confluence of art forms, is written, directed and given music to by Anita Kulkarni - architect-artist and Founder-Artistic Director at Renu Forum for the Arts, and choreographed by Guru Akhila Rao - Director, Kathak Rhythms in Dallas. The show launched in India in 2022 in Stylized Odissi Dance and has performed at prestigious venues, receiving rave reviews from media, national art critics, connoisseurs, artists, and art-loving audiences.
