Sara Hickman // 35th Anniversary of Shortstop with special guests King Bingo

The 35th anniversary of Sara Hickman’s second album Shortstop will be celebrated at the 04 Center with her original touring band. The same group that appeared with her on Austin City Limits and The Tonight Show! 

Returning are Debra Tala on keyboard and vocals, who alongside Sara co-wrote the hit single I Couldn’t Help Myself. On bass will be Mike Daane, plus guitarist Brad McLemore and drummer Brian Hartig. All of these musicians influenced Sara with their own sounds and in her earliest years of recording. 

Opening with be the former Dallas duo King Bingo, comprised of Sandy Abernethy (Seattle) and Bill Seely (NYC) who performed regularly in the 90s during Dallas’ heyday.
