MR. JIMMY (Akio Sakurai) has dedicated his life to honoring Led Zeppelin's guitarist Jimmy Page. For 40+ years, he recreated vintage and historical Zeppelin concerts note-for-note in small Tokyo clubs, until the real Jimmy Page stopped by one night and Akio’s life changed forever. Inspired by Mr. Page’s ovation, Akio would quit his “salary man” job, leave behind his family and move to L.A to try and make it in America. Now touring the world as Jason Bonham's guitarist and promoting his documentary, Akio continues to help carry the torch of Led Zeppelin's music for fans around the world and future generations to come!
Join us Friday October 17th at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo as we celebrate the 50-year anniversary of Led Zeppelin's 1975 U.S Tour. This show is a live recreation. The setlist, the outfits, the stage gear and the improvisation all reflect the time period in an effort to transport the audience back to 1975!
