Flakefest

Starflake is an experimental pop band from Austin, Texas, which began as Bright Light Social Hour frontman Jackie O’Brien’s long-rumored solo project, and immediately exploded into a raucous and celebratory dance/tropical/krautrock/psychedelic collective with lyrics in both English and Spanish.

FlakeFest Vol. 1 is the first annual festival commemorating the momentous birth of Austin’s most talked about new outfit, as well as bassists Jackie & Ben’s Cancerian birthdays. Cumbia-psych sensations Como Las Movies will ignite the party, with special surprise guests of the Austin music experience joining throughout the night.
