About the show: Witness the deterioration of a one women’s mental state as she battles the line between what is real and what is fantasy. Driven by loneliness and isolation, her perception of reality crumbling, she struggles to maintain her sanity through her diary entries.
About the Production: The Script is the final concert of a three-part series presented by the Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy Dance Department. This performance is a student created adaptation loosely based on a short story. This project was launched in May of 2018 as a semester exam assignment. Students were asked to read five short stories, select one, and develop a very detailed proposal describing what the story would look like as a full production; adapting literature to performance art on the stage. The final product of this assignment is presented in this concert.
