Artist Bio(s):
Colin Andrew Sheffield lives in Austin TX where he runs the Elevator Bath record label. As a sound artist, active since the mid-'90s, Sheffield's audio collage work has consistently focused on the use of samples: deconstructed loops of hidden melodies and textures found in his collection of physical media. These snatches of sound are layered in harmony and/or at odds with one another, giving rise to the ethereal undercurrents inherent in his selections.

Adam Pacione is a composer and sound designer from Fort Worth, Texas. Pacione’s music contains elements of ambient textures, drones, field recordings, processed radio transmissions and modular synthesis. His works have been released by Elevator Bath, Infraction Records, Audretsch, Kesh, Bee Eater Recordings, 23five, Second Sun Recordings and Primary Records. Stand out releases include Sisyphus, Dobranoc, Any Way, Shape, or Form (Elevator Bath), From Stills to Motion (Infraction), With Wakened Eyes (Primary), Mâché (self released). He has provided remixes for the likes of Simon Scott (Slowdive) and Machinefabriek (Rutger Zuydervelt).

Alex Keller is an audio artist, sound designer, curator, and teacher based in Austin, Texas. His work in the media of performance, installation, and recorded release reflects his interests in
architecture, the hidden, language, abstraction and music. Keller has focused on electromagnetic induction as a sound source since 2012. Spurred by his fascination with the invisible forces that surround us, as well as the ones we only imagine, he has created multiple generations of transducers that emphasize the gesture of the performer to find new ways to interact with the electromagnetic spectrum. His performance work is focused on inherently unstable technology, including crudely circuit bent devices, magnets glued to giant fans to create electromagnetic oscillators, and salvaged technology. By creating a situation where the results are unstable, the performer’s attempts to work with recalcitrant tech create an appreciable tension to the audience.

James Eck Rippie is a musician and visual artist originally from Nashville, TN and currently resides in Taylor, TX. His work utilizes samples manipulated by turntables and electronics, and often explores the psychological impressions that juxtaposition and abstraction procure. Drawing from his extensive experience as a sound engineer in the film industry, Rippie infuses his work with aural dynamism, crafting compositions that serve as gateways to the subconscious narrative, creating what one reviewer noted as "a soundtrack to curiosity".

Susana López aka Susan Drone is a Sound and Visual Artist based in Murcia (Spain). López is a multidisciplinary artist with an audiovisual background and a degree in Electroacoustic Composition. Her artistic practice spans abstract compositions, audiovisual installations, and immersive concerts, with a focus on exploring the transformative potential of sound and light. By working with these intangible elements, I investigate how they shape space, alter perceptions of time, and create profound sensory experiences. This evening her films will be shown in support of Susana López’s new Elevator Bath release. More on the music and films of Susana López at susannalopez.com.
