Brennen Leigh and Kelly Willis, two-thirds of the dynamic new group “Wonder Women of Country”, are teaming up for an evening of songs and stories on the Courtroom Theater stage.

Brennen Leigh is an American songwriter, guitar player, mandolin player and singer as renowned for her musicianship as for her writing. Her latest album “Ain’t Through Honky Tonkin’ Yet” is an unapologetically beer- and tear-soaked homage to an era when hard-country weepers burst forth from AM transistor radios. With guests like Marty Stuart and Rodney Crowell on the album and her songs recorded by Lee Ann Womack, Rodney Crowell, Sunny Sweeney, Charley Crockett, and many others, it’s no wonder Ray Benson says “Brennen will carry the torch for REAL roots American music for her generation, and she’s the best one to do it in my opinion.”

Kelly Willis is on a new roll with no plans to stop anytime soon. Along with embarking on the “Wonder Women of Country” trio EP project and tour with sister soulmates Brennen Leigh and Melissa Carper, she’s also launched a Substack, released the official 25th anniversary re-issue of her aptly-titled “What I Deserve” (on vinyl AND with bonus tracks!), and is in the creative/writing phase for a new album. She’s looking ahead to the next stage of her life and career and happy to be connecting with fans old and new, whether as part of the Wonder Women of Country or a full-time “solo” artist again.

Brennen and Kelly will serve up a night to remember, don’t miss out on this uniquely intimate concert experience at MPAC!
