Much Ado About Nothing:
Shakespeare Dallas has launched a new opportunity for our audiences to meet and discuss the plays being performed in our season. Ever wonder how an acting company prepares to stage a Shakespeare play? What method of text analysis and discussion take place in the rehearsal hall to allow an actor to perform a Shakespearean role to the best of their ability? If you missed out on our previous Book Clubs, you are invited to experience that process at our Book Club for Much Ado About Nothing!
Led by Associate Artistic Director Jenni Stewart and actor/scholar T.A. Taylor, Book Club gatherings are comfortable, fun and promise great discussions. The Book Club will meet for five sessions to read and discuss the upcoming play, provide a behind the scenes look at the rehearsal process, and receive an invitation to exclusive closed rehearsals.
Book Club: Much Ado About Nothing
A group of soldiers return from the war. The world-weary Benedick and his friend Claudio find themselves reacquainted with Beatrice and Hero. As memories of conflict give way to a life of parties and masked balls, Claudio and Hero fall madly, deeply in love, while Benedick and Beatrice reignite their own altogether more combative courtship.
