Travis Linville

Oklahoma musician Travis Linville’s life of music was ignited as a small child on the built-in stage in his grandparents’ music room. His thirty-something years of sweat equity since have culminated in a winding, successful career built of disparate parts: veteran and up-and-comer, mentor and underdog, session player and bandleader, sideman and songwriter. As a solo artist, Linville has played thousands of shows across the United States (and UK) leaving audiences touched by his heartfelt songwriting, amazed at his musicianship and laughing at his deadpan commentary. Linville’s one man show features a unique combination of gritty electric dobro, world class electric guitar playing, a deep well of roots music knowlege, extrodinary original songs and subtle humor. The artists Linville has performed with features such legendary names as Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Ramblin Jack Elliot, Tommy Allsup, and Oklahoma artists including Samantha Crain, Wilderado, John Moreland, JD McPherson and many more. Travis is also known nationally for performing over fifteen years as a multi-instrumentalist sideman with Hayes Carll’s Gulf Coast Orchestra.
