CHASE THE COMET (Russian alt-rock) // POTOO // STRAIGHT WHITE BUFFALO // APPLES OF EDEN
NOT JUST A SHOW. AN EXPERIENCE. LIVE. RAW. REAL.
In 2016, singer Nika Comet and guitarist/producer Alexander "Sasha" Mishustov took a one-way ticket from Moscow, Russia to Los Angeles with nothing but a guitar, a microphone, and an unshakable belief in their music.
High school sweethearts turned husband and wife, Nika and Sasha began their journey together in Russia. They released multiple albums, played major festivals, worked as session musicians, and reached the finals of a nationally televised competition similar to American Idol. Before moving to the U.S., Nika sang backing vocals for Tarakany!, one of Russia’s most influential punk bands, while Sasha opened massive shows for Metallica, Linkin Park, Muse, Incubus, and more.
Drawn to the heart of the global music industry, they relocated to Los Angeles and formed Chase the Comet. Fully DIY, the duo records, produces, and releases everything from their home studio. Their debut EP This Is MyRockBand (2017) and first English-language album Rush’N’Rule (2018) led to performances at iconic venues across LA and nationwide.
In 2020, Chase the Comet released a viral collaboration on Napalm Records — a metal cover of “All the Things She Said” featuring Lena Scissorhands of Infected Rain, amassing over 1.4 million YouTube views.
After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Nika and Alex openly spoke out and performed at multiple benefit events supporting refugees. In 2024, they opened national tours first for MTV-legends CKY and then for a guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen, and brought their explosive live show to Burning Man.
