More About the Artist:
Hrishikesh Hirway is a singer/songwriter, podcast creator, and composer. As a musician, prior to his work under his own name, he released four albums under the moniker The One AM Radio, as well as an EP with Moors, his project with Oscar-nominated Lakeith Stanfield. Hrishikesh's new album, In the Last Hour of Light, is set for release on April 24th via Keeled Scales. The album was recorded live by producer Phil Weinrobe (Big Thief, Adrienne Lenker). With featured guest vocals from Iron & Wine, Fenne Lily, Ken Pomeroy, and Uwade; and contributions from Jay Som, Palehound, Dustin O’Halloran and more. He’s the host, creator, and executive producer of Song Exploder, an award-winning podcast and a Netflix original television series, where musicians break down the creative process behind their songs. Vulture called Song Exploder “probably the best use of the podcast format ever.” As a composer, he has written and recorded original scores for movies and television, including the thriller Companion from New Line Cinema, the Netflix television series Everything Sucks!, the Sundance rom-com Save the Date, the CNN documentary Our Nixon, and the video game The Red Lantern. Besides Song Exploder, Hrishikesh produced and co-hosted the award-winning podcasts Home Cooking, with chef and author Samin Nosrat; and The West Wing Weekly, with actor Joshua Malina.
