Carrellee
Carrellee is the dark synth-pop project of Madison, Wisconsin artist Sarah Pray, blending ethereal vocals with brooding electronics and shimmering new-wave textures. After years performing in the Americana and folk world, she reinvented her sound during the pandemic—trading acoustic arrangements for analog synths and cinematic darkwave production.
Her debut album Scale of Dreams (2022) introduced the project’s lush, nocturnal sound and led to extensive touring across the U.S. and Canada, including appearances alongside artists like IAMX, Glass Spells, and Vision Video.
Drawing inspiration from icons like Kate Bush and Cocteau Twins, Carrellee’s music pairs haunting melodies with pulsing synths, creating a sound that is both dreamy and emotionally raw.
