James Stanley, Live!

Born and raised in Woodbury, Minnesota, James Stanley began his stand-up comedy journey at just 16 years old—performing for the first time in a vodka bar he definitely wasn’t supposed to be in.

Over the next several years, James honed his craft in clubs across the Midwest, becoming a paid regular at respected venues like Acme Comedy Co. and The Comedy Corner Underground.

Today, James headlines shows across the country and has opened for nationally touring comedians including Chad Daniels, Kelsey Cook, Stavros Halkias, Dusty Slay, and more.

James’s comedy offers a fun and silly look at mental health, family dynamics, and life on the spectrum. Drawing from his personal experiences with autism, OCD, and Tourette’s, he brings a mix of vulnerability and sharp wit to the stage.
