“Ezra Charles has been a Texas keyboard legend for over forty years. Growing up in Beaumont he kicked off his career by playing in Johnny and the Jammers with Johnny and Edgar Winter. Moving to Houston, he created Thursday's Children in the British Invasion era. Then his bluesey horn band Ezra Charles and the Works dominated the Gulf Coast, won the polls, and toured Europe. 

Now he brings his new Jazz Trio to the Old Quarter, featuring long-time musical partner Earnest Potts on tenor sax and HSPVA grad Jake Helpinstill on drums . Ezra's conversational presentation will spotlight the amusing, quirky stories behind his more well-known songs, while bringing the famous on-stage energy that has made him one of Texas' favorite piano players.”
