A 0.5K So Easy, You Might Spill Your Drink

Some people ride 100 miles in August heat. We sip. We stroll. We survive.

Hotter'n Ale is BACK, and this year we're keeping it simple: cold drinks, great friends, zero riddles. No mysteries to solve. No thinking required. Just a 0.5K (yes, point five) pub crawl through Downtown Wichita Falls, with plenty of hydration and heckling along the way.

It's about 1,640 feet, if you're counting. But we hope you're not. Less solving. More sipping.

Pick Your Team (Yes, it's a thing.)

This year you don't just pick a team, you pick a costume. Join up to 34 other legendary underachievers on one of five themed teams, each led by a pair of Coaches keeping spirits high and hydration higher:

• Red Dress. "Legs are Optional. Fun Isn't." 
• Santa Con. "Ho! Ho! Ho! Don't Ask Any Questions." 
• Pajama Crawl. "Some Came to Sleep. Some Came to Slay." 
• Roper Romp. "More Muumuu. More Mayhem." A full Three's Company throwback.
• Country Club (VLP, Very Lazy People). "Champagne Taste. Domestic Beer Budget." 

Want the VIP experience? Register for the Country Club VLP Team and ride the Downtown Trolley between stops in style. Only 25 seats, and they go first.

Dress Code

This year the dress code is your team. Go all in:

• Red Dress: a red dress, all genders welcome and encouraged
• Santa Con: full Santa
• Pajama Crawl: your best pajamas
• Roper Romp: muumuus, beads, and your finest Mr. and Mrs. Roper
• Country Club: preppy country club, sweater over the shoulders, attitude required

A few ground rules:

• Shirts are required to enter downtown businesses
• Keep it tasteful and appropriate for operating businesses
• Think fun and festive, not festival gone feral

Let's be wild, but welcome.

"Rest" Stops Along the Route (Hydration stations. You're welcome, liver.)

• Iron Horse Pub
• Broken Tap
• Half Pint
• The Burn Shop (food and fire, smoked and grilled eats plus a cold one)

Order may vary, but the party is consistent. Start and finish at the Farmers Market, where the block party kicks off at the end.

After-Party Highlights

• DJ and yard games
• Contests (yes, Best Calves returns)
• Ice-cold beer
• A vibe that screams "I trained for this... kind of"

• 21+ only
• Limited to 165 spots (four teams of 35, plus the Country Club VLP team of 25)
• All participants sign a liability waiver prior to the event. No refunds. Rain or shine, we crawl.
