Kiefer Sutherland is an internationally acclaimed actor, musician, producer, and director whose career has spanned more than four decades in film, television, and music. Best known for his Emmy and Golden Globe winning role as Jack Bauer in the groundbreaking television series 24, Sutherland has built a reputation as one of the most versatile and respected performers of his generation. In recent years, he has also established himself as a passionate and authentic singer-songwriter, earning international chart success and selling out venues worldwide. Born in London in 1966 to actors Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland moved to Canada at an early age and began acting as a teenager. His breakout role came in 1986 as Ace Merrill in Stand By Me, adapted from Stephen King’s novella. Soon after, he starred in the cult classic The Lost Boys (1987), cementing his place in Hollywood’s new wave of leading actors. Over the years, Sutherland has built an impressive filmography that includes starring roles in Young Guns (1988) and Young Guns II (1990), Flatliners (1990), A Few Good Men (1992), The Three Musketeers (1993), Dark City (1998), Phone Booth (2002), Melancholia (2011). He later starred as U.S. President Tom Kirkman in the hit political drama Designated Survivor (2016-2019), further showcasing his commanding screen presence and leadership on television. Kiefer Sutherland is also a dedicated musician and songwriter, blending country, Americana, and rock influences into his music.
