The life of a Melanesian tribe is disrupted by the progressive arrival of modernity. Iabe, a young Melanesian, finds this change very hard to cope with and gets lost between his traditions and this modernity. A first time ever … The Film is in Drehu, a melanesian language only spoken in the small south Pacific island of New Caledonia, where the film was shot. It’s the first fiction ever to be shot in this peculiar dialect.
