Vision Video

Vision Video is a post-punk goth rock band from Athens, Georgia that injects modern malaise into classic sounds of the late 70's and 80's.

The band pays homage to classics like the Chameleons and The Cure, while also bringing a refreshing modern element to the genre.

Thematically their music explores the effects of trauma on the human psyche and finding stability and agency in an insane world. Having served in Afghanistan with the army and as a firefighter in the civilian world, lead singer and guitarist Dusty Gannon is no stranger to the darker proclivities of humanity and death itself. "I wanted to write music that helped people remember that it's okay to not be okay, but that also doesn't shy away from taking a stern look at the darker aspects of our flawed human existence." says Gannon.

The band's first two records were met with much critical praise, such as that from Pitchfork stating they create "dreamy tune tailor-made for the sort of wallflower who sprints to the dancefloor the instant the DJ drops “Age of Consent” or “Primary” at Goth Night"

Their debut LP "Inked in Red" and second LP "Haunted Hours", were recorded and mixed by Tom Ashton of The March Violets at his Sub Von Studios in Athens, Georgia.

Vision Video will soon record their next LP "Modern Horror" at Maze Studios in Atlanta headed by Grammy award winning producer Ben Allen.

Aurelio Voltaire

“What if Johnny Cash made folks songs for vampires?” The answer might very well describe the music of Aurelio Voltaire. Often described as a modern day renaissance man, Voltaire is an accomplished singer/ performer, author, creator of films, animation, toys and home decor. As an internationally touring musician for nearly 30 years, he is at the forefront of the Gothic and Dark Cabaret genres and has consistently headlined some of the biggest horror, sci-fi and comic book conventions.

Known for mixing mirth with the macabre, his music is a vast collection of fun songs about frightful topics. Perhaps that is why he has become such a fan favorite around Halloween, a time of year where his sizable audience doubles its listeners and his dark ditties appear on everyone’s Halloween playlists. Walk through a Spirit Halloween and you’re bound to hear a few of his songs, like Brains! Or Land of the Dead from the Cartoon Network show The Grim Adventures of Billy And Mandy. Many know him for his songs from the viral animated videos of Daria Cohen’s Vampair series (The Night, Land of the Dead, Zombie Prostitute, Stuck with You, Raised by Bats and Chupando) that have a combined 80 million views on Youtube.

Over his thirty year career, Aurelio Voltaire has released 13th full-length studio albums. His most recent release, an EP called The Last Halloween Party, features It’s Always Wednesday (about that spooky Addams girl) as well as The Skeleton Dance which has an Oogie Boogie-like big band sound that recalls Voltaire’s earlier work for The Cartoon Network. When not touring or recording, Aurelio Voltaire can be seen in his informative and hilarious Youtube series, Gothic Homemaking. Like a young Vincent Price taking over for Martha Stewart, he demonstrates how to turn a boring home into a Gothic lair with the help of his desiccated co-host, Orville Deadenbacher and a bunch of other recurring monster characters. The New York Times did a feature on Aurelio Voltaire and the Gothic Homemaking show calling him, “The Martha Stewart of Macabre Homemakers" and "a lifestyle guru to people who embrace spookiness in all seasons.” The popularity of the show also lead to a book deal with Quarto Books/Epic Ink. Aurelio Voltaire’s book, Gothic Life- The Essential Guide to Macabre Style will hit bookstores everywhere on August 13th, 2024.

Tears for the Dying

Tears for the Dying is an Athens, GA post-punk/goth band for fans of Bauhaus, 45 Grave, Drab Majesty, and Rosegarden Funeral Party. With keen attention to atmosphere and ambiance, Tears for the Dying delivers a cold, pallid take on post-punk and goth rock music. Performing over the span of 20 years, the band's first single was recorded and released in 2003, and would be followed by multiple EPs and singles through preesent times. Tears has performed alongside bands such as My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Curse Mackey, Nox Novacula, Secret Shame, Korine, and Vision Video.

Leading the group, Adria’s unique songwriting and lyrical style is born of her experience growing up trans and autistic in a small, Southeastern town when being trans was a societal death sentence; neurodivergence was unacceptable, much less valued. Decades of religious trauma and bullying drove her to darker elements of art and society. When she was 19, she had her first epileptic seizure - the first of many to come. Today, she is a proud queer and lesbian woman, and joins many others in the ongoing global fight against injustice, discrimination, and fascism. Adria is joined by veteran guitarist/songwriter J. Broughton and multi-instrumentalist Mycke Pain on drums/programming.

Presently, the band is recording it's next full length album and storyboarding videos for select singles from the same. The initial single is targeted for release by March 2023, with full album released on vinyl June/July 2023.
