Matt Hillyer 'Bright Skyline' Release Show with Cory Cross 'There's More' Release Show

Matt Hillyer is a veteran singer-songwriter who for 23 years fronted legendary honky-tonk band Eleven Hundred Springs, touring the world and releasing more than a dozen albums before the band ended in 2021.  His latest solo record, Bright Skyline, showcases a range that Hillyer fine-tuned over three decades playing Texas dance halls, both as a solo artist and for 23 years as the frontman of Eleven Hundred Springs. "I've always tried to mix up styles that I love," says Hillyer about the eleven tracks on Bright Skyline — a journey from his rockabilly roots through western swing, outlaw, and traditional honky-tonk country.

On There's More, Cory Cross's debut full length album, Cross and his band take classic country instrumentation from steel guitars and piano and infuse it with garage rock energy coming from fuzzy electrics and a thumping rhythm section to create 14 songs ready for a night spent in a smoky barroom. With lyrics that take the listener from small town jail cells to church pews, the songs ring with authenticity and insight. Cross has been honing his specific brand of country music for over a decade, and There's More, is the culmination of years of paying dues and living the songs he's written.
