Fall Blood Drive with Vitalant & Westgate Kiwanis
We are hosting our Fall Blood Drive for the Community with the Westgate Kiwanis on Saturday 10/18 from 10am to 1pm at Dave and Busters in Westgate. Vitalant has a critical need for all blood donors of all blood types and need 20 more donors to take an hour out of their day and help save a life!
Over the summer months we had over 20 blood drive events cancelled, and 350 units go uncollected due to the extreme summer heat. As we return to the fall months and regular schedules before the Holiday Season, we need more blood donors to prevent a potential blood shortage.
Vitalant serves all hospitals in Maricopa County, as well as 90% of the state of Arizona. There is no substitute for blood and 600 donors are needed on a daily basis to maintain Arizona Blood Needs.
