Bernstein, Symphonic Suite - Lindsay Garritson, piano - presented by the Garland Symphony Orchestra

Ring in the new year with Barber, Bartók, and Bernstein! This concert leads with Samuel Barber’s Overture to The School for Scandal. It is followed by Bela Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 3 performed by virtuoso pianist, Lindsay Garritson. We end the evening with Leonard Bernstein’s Symphonic Suite from On the Waterfront. This piece comes from Berstein’s score from the 1954 film On the Waterfront starring Marlon Brando.
