David Miner

Listening-room lyricism steeped in honky tonk energy is the product of David Miner’s old school approach to country music. Miner fuses songwriting inspired by his 60’s and 70’s country heroes with a sound rooted in tradition but not stuck in it, brought together by a live show forged in the dancehalls of Texas and barrooms of the nation. 

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Miner took an early liking to classic country music, and while living in Colorado began traveling the western US at age 19, building his chops, finding his sound, and searching for songs. With inspirations such as Guy Clark, Waylon Jennings, and Billy Joe Shaver, it was only natural he’d wind up in Texas where he relentlessly cuts his teeth in the halls his heroes haunted. 

Miner released his self-recorded project “Silver Valley” in 2021 - a gritty, no frills record packed full of stories. The title track “Silver Valley” saw some streaming success with the album breaking 1 millions streams as well as being placed on a handful of Spotify Editorial playlists (Indigo, Emerging Americana, and Front Porch).

Four years have passed since Miner released his last project, another self-recorded album made in a friend’s barn in Northern Colorado. Since Miner’s move to Central Texas, he has been relentlessly playing the Texas Honky Tonks. In 2025, when the time felt right, David headed into Yellow Dog Studios in San Marcos, TX for a whirlwind four day recording session. Those four days produced 11 songs. The album is called “West Texas Stars” and will be released 10.3.26.
