Higher Ground, a tribute to the Superstars of Soul, is New England's premier Vintage Soul band. With 20 band members, including 14 lead vocalists, Higher Ground delivers a diverse setlist of iconic songs from Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Prince, the Temptations and many more. Since forming in Portland in 2023, Higher Ground has brought the soul to capacity crowds at Aura, Vinegar Hill, Jimmy's Jazz and Blues, Portland House of Music and Events, and the Cross Insurance Center.
