Naturalist

Naturalist is an Oklahoma City based post-hardcore band known for their emotionally raw sound and introspective lyricism. Formed over a decade ago, the band has carved out a space in the emp and hardcore scene with a style that blends searing intensity and melodic vulnerability. Their latest album, You Don't Have to Worry (2025), marks their first full-length release in eight years, showing a matured sound rooted in themes of spiritual burnout, generational trauma, and the search for community.

 

The band is composed of Ashton Prescott (vocals), Hunter Amos (guitar), Tyler Sanchez (bass, vocals), and Micah Patrick (drums), channels influences from acts like mewithoutYou and Birds in Row, while incorporating atmospheric synths and post-metal textures. Naturalist's music is not just a reflection of personal struggle, but a hand extended to those navigating their own darkness.
