At the young age of 3, Ben McPherson was drawn into music with no desire of turning back. While Ben’s dad, uncle, and grandpa were performing at a bluegrass festival, he was sitting in the crowd with his mother. Captivated by his grandpa’s fiddling, he insisted that she allow him to go on stage to simply stand with them as they played. His mother finally gave in, and he immediately fell in love with the fiddle. His parents then took him to Valerie’s Music Studio in Burleson, Texas, where he vividly recalls trying to see over the counter, eager to learn to play. For over ten years Ben took lessons every week, attempting to absorb every bit of knowledge he could. He would listen to Johnny Gimble and Randy Elmore, trying to steal as many “licks” as possible.

When he was 15 years old, he consistently performed with artist Brady Hulsey throughout high school. Not long after turning eighteen years old, artist Steve Helms asked Ben to join his band. During the four years of playing with Helms, Ben made numerous connections in the music business, playing alongside many incredible musicians and artists along the way. While being on the road every weekend, Ben also graduated from Tarleton State University in 2016 earning a Bachelors of Science Degree emphasizing Hydrogeology. Shortly after, Ben began to tour with artist Kyle Park and has played with Park for about 7 years now. Ben also plays with multiple artists such as Chad Prather, Jamie Richards, Aaron Copeland and many more.
