Chris Broach (born 1976) is an American musician, songwriter, producer, and label owner best known as guitarist and co-vocalist for the emo/post-hardcore band Braid, which helped define the 1990s Midwest emo scene. After Braid’s initial disbanding in 1999, he led The Firebird Band, and explored other projects like Life at Sea, L'Spaerow, The Blakhiv, and SNST. In 2002, he founded Lucid Records, supporting a range of indie artists. Academically, he transitioned from film and audio studies to earn a psychology degree in 2010, and currently imparts his production expertise as a faculty member at McHenry County College, while continuing to create music from his home studio.
