Unity in Diversity presented by Prayaanam

This musical is about a mom who is in search of friends for her two daughters. She is from India and lived in a culturally diverse small township where the people from diverse culture shared their happiness, sorrows, and their culture, and lived in harmony. When she comes to United States, she hoped for same cultural harmony, but finds that people of different races, countries, and even Indians are biased and divided. She hopes to find a harmony and acceptance amongst this diversity and hopes to raise her daughters’ same way as she grew up.

Her daughters love art and she goes from one music/dance/art school to another to find something that can ignite the passion in them as she had when she was young. Finally, she finds instructors for her daughters who understand her zest for unity and decide to hold an informative fundraiser of fusion music to the public called Unity in Diversity concert.
