VITAL SIGNS: Texas Tribute to RUSH
Vital Signs is Texas's Rush tribute band, performing the classic era — 1975 to 1987 — with period-accurate instrumentation and a level of fidelity that's hard to find anywhere in the Lone Star State. They recreate Rush's most adventurous performances with the playfulness and energy of Rush's Exit... Stage Left era live shows. The setlist draws from the deep catalog, but the shows aren't just for the Rush heads — Vital Signs' high energy performances convert new fans every show.
The band consists of Nora Predey (Geddy), Benjamin Dubois (Alex), and James Caldwell (Neil).
Nora is a self-taught bassist, keyboardist, and singer who was inspired to become a musician at 17 after seeing the "A Show Of Hands" concert video at a neighbor's house. She was awarded "Best Bassist" in the 2025 Austin Music Awards.
Ben and James are Austin natives and have been shredding on their respective instruments since childhood. Ben attended Berklee College of Music and has performed, toured, and recorded with dozens of Central Texas artists.
James studied drums and audio engineering at Texas State University, and for him playing with Vital Signs marks the end of a 10 year pause in performing for audiences.
From Vital Signs' debut show at Hole in the Wall in Austin in January 2026, audiences have been astonished at the attention to detail and energy of their set.
