BAKERSFIELD, CA, SEPT, 2026 – The boys from Bakersfield are Texas-Oklahoma-Kansas
bound for The Soda Crackers’ THIS Fall on the 2026 Dust Bowl Tour!
In the spirit of the legendary Bakersfield Sound days and the “Great Migration” that was
the Dust Bowl in the 1930s, The Soda Crackers are hitting the road for a 16 show, 17 day long
tour in states with deep ties to the Central Valley of California.
“We can’t wait for the tour to start!” said Zane Adamo, 33, who serves as The Soda
Crackers’ rhythm guitarist, lead vocalist, and fiddler. “After our ‘Red River Tour’ last year, I
think we all knew we’d be back in 2026.”
Since their first show at the Taft Oildorado Days 2021, The Soda Crackers have racked
up nearly 400 shows along with their first dip into original music in 2024, now streaming
everywhere and available on vinyl.
“We’re going bigger and better this year out in Texas, Oklahoma, & Kansas. We have
some new music coming out and we’re going to towns and cities we didn’t get the chance to hit
last year” says Adamo. With legends of the Bakersfield Sound like Buck Owens from Texas,
Tommy Collins from Oklahoma, and Billy Mize from Kansas the deep ties between Bakersfield
and these three states is undeniable. Many families today in the Bakersfield area can trace their
roots to the 1930s Great Dust Bowl Migration.
With stops in big cities like Ft. Worth, Oklahoma City, Austin as well as small town gigs
in spots like Turkey, Tomball, & Bandera The Soda Crackers are looking to rack up well over
4000 miles to and from Bakersfield. 16 shows, 17 days, and nothing but twangin’ Bakersfield
