Jason “Sundance” Head (born July 9, 1978) is an American country-soul singer and songwriter from Porter, Texas. He is the son of soul singer Roy Head.
Sundance first competed on American Idol (season 6) in 2007, where he reached the semi-finals. He later joined The Voice (season 11), and under coach Blake Shelton, he won the competition with his original song “Darlin’ Don’t Go.”
He signed with Dean Dillon’s Wildcatter Records, and has released several albums, including Stained Glass and Neon (2019) and Starting Again (2022). Over the years, Sundance has become known for his powerful voice, emotional storytelling, and his rootsy blend of country, soul, blues, and rock.
