His songwriting has been recognized with accolades such as being a Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Finalist in 2007 and 2011, and winning the 2007 B. W. Stevenson Songwriting Competition.

Temple's 9th album, Rings on a Tree, delves into family history and the interconnectedness of human experiences, much like the rings of a tree tell the story of its life. Similarly, Temple’s songs explore the impact of generational interactions, suggesting that every action resonates through time, creating waves that shape the future. This album, inspired by reflections during the recent pandemic, serves as a testament to the enduring influence of our ancestors and the continuous thread of life that binds us all.

Recorded with producer Gordy Quist at the Finishing School studio, the new album showcases Temple’s signature blend of melodic folk and honky-tonk punch.
