Quote in Voyage Dallas "I am a self-taught guitarist, I sing. I rap. I write poetry. All the things that one would consider from an artist I suppose. What I want people to take away the most is, is the essence of music. I feel that I embody music in its purest form. It’s not super elaborate. It’s not Aretha Franklin or Lady Gaga. It’s just me. Imagine Alicia Keys, Sara Bareilles, and Emily King had a love child. Aka me. I’m a singer. I’ve loved to sing since I was a child. Whether I’m famous or not, those things will never change. I want to connect with those in the audience who are hurting, who need space, and who need moments to breathe because I feel those are the individuals who will receive the most from what I give. Life inspires me. Walking outside, feeling the breeze and knowing that I’m able to breathe that in gives me all the life I need. It’s comfort, and that’s what I want people to feel when they hear my music."

Benny Smoke stands at a creative intersection- where melodic rap meets lived reality. Based in the Fort Worth/Dallas area, his sound is both smooth and textured, reflecting life's highs and lows with the same calm confidence. Born in South Fort Worth in the late '80s and raised through the '90s and early 2000s, Benny absorbed the city's culture firsthand - skate parks, graffiti walls, late-night cipher sessions, and the shared energy of community that shaped his worldview.
Across his catalog, and especially in tracks like 'AFFIRMATIONS', Benny paints scenes of self-awareness and steady ambition. It's the kind of muslc that doesn't shout to be heard - it resonates because it's truthful, deliberate, and rooted in experience. His 2025 EP Cappuccino expanded his body of work, followed by continued releases and consistent live performances throughout North Texas. In 2026, he reached a milestone with a headlining performance at Three Links in Deep Ellum, Dallas, a moment that reaffirmed his resonance with both local fans and industry ears alike.
Benny Smoke has also collaborated with artists and producers including Wisdomadik, EPayne, Obie Trice, Anetix, P Tha Poet, S2P Skitzo, Pac Manson, and German producer Rice Master Yen.
