Kalayatna Annual Recital 2026 & Theerpu - a Dance Drama Production

THEERPU — The Verdict Is Hers Judgment • Verdict • Final Decision When silence ends, truth speaks. And when truth speaks, the verdict is hers. Kalayatna Productions presents THEERPU, a powerful dance production that brings together the stories of four extraordinary women—Kannagi, Ahilya, Mahakali, and Unniyarcha. They did not walk the earth together. They did not share the same century, kingdom, or fate. Yet, across time and tradition, their stories echo a common truth: when injustice rises, courage must rise with it.

Through the expressive language of Indian classical, semi-classical, and folk dance, THEERPU journeys through stories of injustice, resilience, courage, resistance, and the pursuit of truth. Each character carries her own story, her own struggle, and ultimately, her own Theerpu—the verdict.

This is more than a dance production. It is a celebration of women who refused to remain silent. A reminder that justice transcends time, place, and circumstance. THEERPU is not bound by time. Justice isn’t either.  Come witness a powerful journey where grace meets fire, tradition meets storytelling, and justice finds its voice. November 15, 2026  2:00 PM CST  Garland Plaza Theatre  Presented by Kalayatna Productions THE VERDICT IS HERS.
