Wicked & Wicked: For Good Double Feature presented by Downtown Garland

Wicked (2024) is a musical fantasy film directed by Jon M. Chu, adapting the first act of the acclaimed stage musical. Set before the events of The Wizard of Oz, it tells the untold origin story of Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), the future Wicked Witch of the West, and Galinda (Ariana Grande), who becomes Glinda the Good. The two meet and form an unlikely friendship at Shiz University in the Land of Oz. As they encounter the enigmatic Wizard, their bond is tested, setting them on divergent paths—one toward darkness, the other toward light.

During intermission, head right outside the theater to the downtown square for food and entertainment -- Grab lunch at one of our downtown favorites and enjoy a FREE live performance by the Sabrina Carpenter Tribute band, Tall N' Sweet featuring Charity Eden.

Wicked: For Good (2025), directed by Jon M. Chu, continues the story of Elphaba and Glinda as their paths diverge in a politically divided Oz. Branded the Wicked Witch, Elphaba fights to expose the Wizard’s lies and protect the oppressed, while Glinda rises as the beloved face of “Good.” Their fractured friendship and opposing choices lead to a dramatic showdown that will determine the fate of Oz.
