Tweed Smith & the Internationals is the long-running ensemble led by Houston singer Tweed Smith, a powerhouse vocalist steeped in gospel, jazz, blues, rock, and R&B. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Smith made music history by becoming the only female member of the band War, contributing lead vocals on three of their albums and co-writing songs.
