Jean Mary Curro is a renowned Venezuelan comedian, radio host, and podcaster who is now living in Texas.  For over a decade in Venezuela, Jean Mary won the public’s affection as the radio host of Chica Supersonica.  From 2010 – 2011, Jean Mary also hosted the popular television show, Videos Divertidos, which was the country’s version of America’s Funniest Home Videos.  From 2012 – 2014, Jean Mary was a cast member of the late-night / comedy sketch show, Chataing TV, which was a combination of America’s The John Stewart Show and Saturday Night LIVE.  Luis Chataing was a famous political comedian and Chataing TV’s political humor was not popular with the Venezuelan regime, which ultimately shut down the program in 2014.  During that time Jean Mary also toured the world with, Por Todos Los Medios, a comedy stand-up show with Luis Chataing.   After immigrating to the United States, Jean Mary created the Nos Reiremos de Esto podcast in 2018 with comedian and broadcaster Alex Goncalves.  That podcast quickly became one of the most listened-to Spanish-language comedy podcasts on Spotify. Jean Mary and Alex toured 18 countries and 39 cities around the world with a stand-up show of the same name over the next of four years; including Dubai, Madrid, Barcelona, London, Brussels, Stockholm, Gran Canaria, Porto, Berlin, Buenos Aires, and Santiago de Chile. The Nos Reiremos de Esto podcast sparked the publication of the book, NRDE El Libro del Podcast del Stand Up. Jean Mary is also a published author on her own, releasing Peludo Amor in 2015; a guide to raising dogs from her own humoristic point of view.  In 2024, she updated and re-released the book with new chapters and more content.  That book is currently selling on Amazon worldwide. In 2025, Jean Mary returned to the stage with two different projects: Reeditada, a one-woman show exploring the journey we take throughout our lives that transforms us into the versions of ourselves we are today; and Foranea, a stand-up show aimed at reconnecting with the Latin roots of immigrants, laughing at our differences, and celebrating all that we have in common.
